MEET RAE
Candidate for District 60 School Board
Rae Carnevale is a dedicated mental health professional and advocate for children and families, with nearly a decade of hands-on experience supporting youth across Southern Colorado. A proud product of Colorado’s public schools, Rae attended Colorado Springs School District 11 before moving to Pueblo for college. She holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Colorado State University Pueblo, a master’s degree in counseling from Adams State University, and in her final year of earning a law degree from Purdue Global.
Now running for the Pueblo D60 School Board, Rae brings a unique blend of academic training and real-world experience to the table. Her work in mental health has given her deep insight into the everyday struggles students face—especially those with ADHD, learning disorders, or other challenges that often go undiagnosed. She is passionate about building an education system that is equitable, accessible, and responsive to the needs of all students. Rae advocates for smaller class sizes, updated learning materials, and the implementation of trauma-informed practices and social-emotional learning district-wide. She believes that proactive mental health support in schools not only boosts student engagement and success, but also strengthens entire communities. With thoughtful leadership and a heart for service, Rae is ready to represent Pueblo families with compassion, integrity, and action.
